She remembered seeing the post, but... well, not having a voice made comforting rather difficult, so she hadn't really said anything. But after a moment of initial surprise, Nill nods to the video feed. Her wings are carefully tucked behind her back.

Nill? My name is Emma Frost. Shikamaru Nara says you're looking for lessons in telepathy and probably wanted to try another teacher. I'm a telepath who has taught telepaths before. I like to teach, but if something goes wrong at home, so I might need to cancel a lesson on short notice. If you're interested, and possible cancelled lesson are okay with you, Mr. Nara said he'd cover my fees, which will be fairly low because I may cancel lessons at the last minute.

[Whether Nill actually gets that message or not is a bit of a mystery - not long after he's sent it, she comes scurrying out of her room in the boarding house, searching through the building to find him. While she had no intention of using her abilities to find him... she'd kind of noticed him when Shika went to greet him.]

[Some slightly irregular breathing, like he's trying to keep his cool but not quite there.]

[It takes about ten minutes, because there really isn't much point in Nill actually picking up for calls when she can't talk, but a text message pops up on his NV.]

Yosuke? ...Are you alright?

[ action - January 23 ]

[Several hours have passed by the time Shikamaru arrives at the boarding house. He'd overestimated his recovery and underestimated weather conditions, not to mention how long it had taken for him to argue with various people over his month-long disappearance before he could even depart.

When he finally steps through the front door, he feels far worse than he did when he awoke. He stands in the foyer for a moment, one hand on the doorframe to keep him from falling over. Icy water drips from his hair and coat where snowflakes have melted.]

[reassures]

[If Shika's paying attention, then he'll hear it the moment the door opens; the sound of someone running, bare feet pounding against the ground. Nill heard him before he even got through the door.

It takes her all of two seconds before she's skidding to a stop in front of Shika, looking him over, trying to asses any damage there might be while she holds her hands extended from her body; ready to grab him if he really does fall over.

After a moment she decides to try putting her arms around him anyway. He looks terrible so terrible... but she does it carefully. She'll stop if he doesn't want her to.]

Shika... [He came back.]

[You know, it's really a good thing that Nill can read minds. And she can hear him coming. Do you know how bad it would be, if she couldn't hear him coming? Someone barging into her room? Seriously, that isn't cool.

Luckily, it means she can get away with just about anything.

Unluckily, the room still smells a lot like pot.

Nill is curled up on her nest of pillows and blankets and whatnot, hugging a pillow to her stomach, and she looks up when Naruto comes in. Ah... she still doesn't quite know how to act around Naruto anymore, but she supposes not much has actually changed for him.]

[There's a dude sulking in your kitchen, Nill. Drinking your tea, too, as if he totally belongs there. Apparently, knocking isn't a thing he's bothering with, today. It gets in the way of his draping pathetically on the table and looking cranky, you know?]

[Nill doesn't actually seem all that surprised when she comes out into the kitchen and sees Yosuke - she could hear him being cranky from her room, but well, you can't really wander out the minute someone enters your home. That'd be a little suspicious.

So Nill taps him on the shoulder, and gives him a curious look. Hi Yosuke. What are you doing in her kitchen?]

[voicemail, and oh the panic.]

Nill-san? Nill? Hey...hey, no one is answering at your place. Look, it's just that...you know...I mean, I went inside and -sorry about that, but I had to!- and you weren't there. Not in bed, not in the kitchen. I even knocked on the bathroom doors, and probably disturbed a lot of people, but you still didn't answer.

Are you okay? People are getting really sick right now. Maya-san is in the hospital, and Souji...Souji is a mess. And [sniff, cough hack, cough] you're sort of small, you know? I'd just like to make sure you get to see a doctor if you haven't.

Oh, yeah. I'm not in jail anymore, okay? So I can take you. Or if you're fine and you're just helping someone else out, you should let me know, alright? I mean, that sounds like you. That's probably it. Just...you know...I don't know. Just call me back, okay? Uh. Text me back. Whatever, you know what I mean. I'm going to keep th NV on me all the time, just in case. Alright? [Yosuke, you are so lucky she's here right now.

....that said, even though she's here, she doesn't actually move and stand to open the door. Nill just stares at it, and sighs quietly.

She doesn't know how to deal with him right now... what was she supposed to say, to do, to feel? How was she supposed to take care of him and herself?

So she turns her head away from the door, and grabs a ribbon off of her dresser, pulling her wet hair up on top of her head. She's pretty much covered in bruises and scrapes and probably a few more serious cuts, and the light, thin-strapped sundress (cut low in the back for her wings) does very little to cover that up. One of her wrists is also pretty swollen, either broken is out of place, or maybe she just pulled something. Who knows. But whe hadn't thought she'd need to deal with Yosuke already.

...the door is locked, by the way.]

[Groggy and a little slurred from the painkillers.]

Hey. You okay? Sorry f'r not checking in sooner, I just woke up. Someone said its been a few days.

[By now, Nill probably isn't that surprised to find Yosuke in her kitchen. Admittedly sleeping on the table wasn't his best idea, but there he is anyway. The occasional whimpering probably doesn't indicate good dreams, but it's clear that he's there with good intentions. He brought pastries from Gilbert's bakery.]

[Not surprised at all. Though... it takes her awhile to actually come out of her room and see why he's there, and by the time she does that he's asleep.

She doesn't honestly know if she wants to wake him up, though, so she doesn't right away. Instead she inspects the pastries.

...Why is he even here..?]

[ It's been surreal for Ino to know that Shika isn't here. Isn't going to come back. At first, she was worried. Then sad. Then angry. Then annoyed. Now, she feels, she is taking it better than she would have when she was younger. She feels neutrally about it. (And she tries not to think about him too long.)

She's out of her usual purple outfit and ponytail; instead, her long hair is freely falling around her shoulders and she is wearing a loose-fitting green dress. She refused to wear anything black (barring fishnets or leggings) for at least another month. She would not mourn this dea-- disappearance. He wouldn't have wanted her to, anyway. 'Too troublesome', he'd say.

She knocks on the door to Nill's place, clutching her purse tightly. She wanted to go to the mall, but more than that she just wanted to be around a friend. Somebody who knew what she was going through. With Shikamaru gone, Nill was the one to go to. ]

[Nill lives in a boarding house; everything there is shared, the kitchen and the like, but Nill has probably told Ino just where it is that she lives int he boarding house and how to find her in the past.

Right now, staring at her door, Nill sort of wishes she hadn't. Even after Yosuke's visit, Nill found herself having a lot of trouble doing much without Shika here. Just the knowledge that she'd still been there, that she could find him or call him if she needed him, had been enough to get here through a lot over the past two years. He'd been the one whose mind she first read, who helped her the most when she couldn't control it. He'd been her best friend for such a long time that imagining life without him was difficult and empty.

After a few moments, she takes a deep breath, and tucks a lock of hair behind her ear. Then she reaches to open the door.

She doesn't smile. She's not really at a point where smiling is something she can manage yet. But she peers at Ino, and tilts her head a little bit.

...it probably looks like she hasn't slept in a few days.]

[Knock knock, Nill, Seras is stood outside your door, thoughts heavy with unquestionable reality.]

[It opens without so much as a pause, and Nill reaches out the moment the door is open, though she stops mid-way.

Seras still remembered everything. She remembered Shika, all the memories that no one else here had of him but her. She remembered, she knew.

She pauses this time, before quickly pulling Seras into a hug.]
